Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for overnight freight delivery across Southern California
- Maintain meticulous trip logs and compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route optimization and on-time deliveries
- Handle specialized freight requiring temperature control or hazardous materials endorsement
- Represent our company with professionalism during customer interactions
- Utilize GPS technology for real-time navigation and traffic avoidance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Night shift availability (11 PM - 7 AM schedule)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and withstand variable weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of San Diego County roadways and border crossing procedures
- DOT medical certification and TWIC card preferred
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to pass company-specific background check and drug screening
