Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (53' dry van reefers) for overnight delivery routes
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD)
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Load/unload freight with precision and proper lifting techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams
- Optimize delivery routes for maximum efficiency and on-time performance
- Document all delivery exceptions and maintain shipment records
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean 3-year driving record
- Minimum 1 year OTR or regional experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficient in GPS navigation and route planning
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Flexible schedule readiness (nights, weekends, holidays)
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Miami/Fort Lauderdale area residency preferred
