Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A/B commercial vehicles for time-sensitive deliveries across metropolitan Detroit
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic documentation using our proprietary fleet management system
- Perform pre-trip inspections and routine vehicle maintenance checks
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize delivery routes and maintain ETAs
- Handle hazardous materials shipments with DOT-compliant procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficient with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Knowledge of Michigan roadways and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Availability to work flexible overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
