Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL required) for nighttime deliveries across Louisiana and Florida routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment handling techniques
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Manage time-sensitive deliveries while maintaining on-time performance
- Operate in all weather conditions during overnight hours
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and random drug screenings
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and route planning
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Experience with hazmat tanker endorsements preferred
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
