Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) to transport freight on overnight routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Load/unload shipments with precision and care using pallet jacks/hoists
- Adapt to changing schedules and delivery priorities in real-time
- Comply with all FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams
- Perform minor roadside repairs and coordinate maintenance when needed
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong navigation skills with GPS/technology proficiency
- Flexible schedule availability (overnight shifts, weekends)
- Knowledge of Michigan highway systems
