Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) for nighttime freight transport across Michigan
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo using forklifts and pallet jacks when required
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance needs
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and warehouse teams
- Optimize routes for on-time delivery in Metro Detroit area
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR/Regional driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
- Experience with hazmat tanker/dry van preferred
- Knowledge of Detroit metro routes and seasonal weather challenges
- Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in overnight shifts
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
