Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks to deliver freight to designated locations safely and on time.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment, ensuring weight distribution and securing freight.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours (ELD) and vehicle mileage.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Current DOT Medical Card (Medical Examiner's Certificate).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of roadways in the New York region.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging devices (ELD).
