Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in a professional and courteous manner.
- Load and unload cargo using proper material handling equipment to ensure safety.
- Maintain accurate logs (DOT compliant) and adhere to Hours of Service regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely delivery and problem resolution.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or B) with required endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, etc., if applicable).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial environment.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong navigation skills and ability to read maps or use GPS devices effectively.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform physical tasks associated with loading.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
