Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local and regional routes
- Plan efficient delivery routes while adhering to DOT regulations and schedules
- Inspect vehicles before/after trips and document maintenance needs
- Handle specialized cargo including temperature-controlled and hazardous materials
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records
- Collaborate with dispatch to resolve route disruptions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with Louisiana geography
- Pass pre-employment background/drug screening
- HAZMAT certification preferred
- Excellent time management and communication skills
