Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight between Milwaukee and regional destinations
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing fuel usage
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Assist with loading/unloading operations when required
- Document all delivery paperwork and handle exceptions professionally
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable truck driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Milwaukee metro area and regional highways
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement and weight distribution
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends
