Job Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across the Midwest. We pride ourselves on safety and customer satisfaction, and we are looking for drivers who share these values.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) to deliver cargo to designated locations on time and in perfect condition.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, utilizing proper lifting techniques and tie-down methods.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and potential delays.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with appropriate endorsements (Hazmat/Tankers preferred but not required).
- Must possess a clean driving record and a current Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues is a plus.
