Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and handling of goods.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any delays.
- Uphold the company's high standards for customer service and safety culture.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement methods and safety regulations.
- Basic mechanical skills to perform routine vehicle maintenance checks.
- Willingness to work varying shifts and occasional weekend overtime.
