Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) to transport freight throughout Miami-Dade County
- Maintain accurate delivery records and electronic logs (ELD) per DOT regulations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Coordinate with dispatch and warehouse teams for efficient loading/unloading
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and time-sensitive routes
- Ensure cargo security and proper handling of specialized materials
- Implement defensive driving techniques in high-traffic urban environments
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Miami-Dade roadways and delivery zones
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Basic understanding of cargo securement requirements
- Fluency in English (Spanish bilingual preferred)
