Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers in a safe and legally compliant manner.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety standards are met.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper weight distribution and security.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (DVIR) and electronic logging devices (ELD) in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, traffic patterns, and delivery schedules.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Represent the company with a high level of professionalism at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with the appropriate endorsements.
- 12 months of verifiable driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
