Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling as required.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and electronic logging device (ELD) entries accurately.
- Maintain a clean driving record and professional appearance at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Follow strict safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure the security of freight.
Qualifications
- Clean Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of Kentucky.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience preferred.
- Current DOT medical card and DOT drug screen clearance.
- Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends if required.
