Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across Los Angeles County
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections ensuring compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize routes and meet delivery deadlines
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols at all times
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding shipment status
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Knowledge of Los Angeles traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions
- Previous experience with hazmat or oversized loads preferred
