Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles on regional and long-haul routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and secure cargo accurately to ensure safe transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse staff.
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading and unloading processes.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and map reading.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including nights and weekends if necessary.
