Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for local routes within the Chicago metropolitan area
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation per DOT regulations
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Chicago area traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle troubleshooting
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Flexibility for early morning start times
