Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently to deliver freight to designated locations within the Las Vegas valley and surrounding regions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and identify potential maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required shipping and receiving documentation.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit, adhering to weight and balance regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to shippers, receivers, and the public while maintaining a professional image.
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and traffic laws at all times.
- Report accidents, incidents, or mechanical issues immediately to the dispatch center.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT medical card.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than two preventable accidents in the last three years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a mandatory drug screen and background check.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and documentation purposes.
