Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in accordance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Load and unload freight accurately and efficiently at various terminals across Illinois and the region.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (ELD) and daily logs (DVIR) to ensure compliance.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to guarantee roadworthiness.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Current DOT Medical Card is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of Illinois roadways and traffic laws.
