Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently on highways and local roads.
- Deliver freight to customers in Virginia Beach and surrounding North Carolina areas.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs and paperwork in strict accordance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper handling equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery stops.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations (DUI, Reckless Driving).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Basic math skills for cargo documentation.
