Responsibilities
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure 100% safety compliance.
- Operate commercial trucks to transport goods safely and efficiently across the region.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and logs in strict accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securement of freight.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies to ensure the safety of the public and the cargo.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential route issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving abstract.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- 1-2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strong understanding of road safety, defensive driving techniques, and traffic laws.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
