Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and identify any maintenance needs.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo is protected during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery receipts.
- Provide exceptional customer service to shippers and receivers, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and report any accidents or incidents immediately to management.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Entry-level drivers with a clean driving record are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo securement procedures.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and paperwork.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
