Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers and delivery vans, to transport goods throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling of materials to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate and timely delivery logs, including electronic logging devices (ELD) and mileage records.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with clients and delivery sites.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding route changes and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL): Must possess a Class A or Class B CDL (Clean driving record required).
- Eligibility: Must be at least 21 years old to operate a commercial vehicle across state lines (or 18 for intrastate).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Documentation: Must be able to present a valid Social Security Card and proof of residency.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to read maps and GPS devices.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- No Experience Required: While prior driving experience is a plus, we are willing to train the right candidates who are safety-conscious and hardworking.
