Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently on assigned routes throughout the region.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, ensuring weight distribution is secure.
- Maintain accurate logs using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and adhere to hours-of-service regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle interior and exterior.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screening.
- Willingness to submit to a background check.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety protocols, and cargo securement.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States of America.
