Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A vehicles safely and efficiently in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper equipment, ensuring cargo integrity during transit.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (ELD) and delivery paperwork in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status, delays, or any issues encountered.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or be eligible to obtain one (Permit holders with ability to test immediately are encouraged to apply).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination to obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and time management skills.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate commercial vehicles across state lines.
- Ability to lift and maneuver cargo straps and tarping equipment.
