Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers (Class A or B) to ensure timely delivery.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and driver qualification files.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and potential delays.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Must possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable truck driving experience preferred.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary.
