Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and ensure hours of service (HOS) compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring all loads are properly secured for safe transport.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Keep the tractor and trailer clean and organized at all times.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and attend mandatory safety meetings.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with a clean driving record.
- Must possess required endorsements (Hazmat, Tanker, Doubles/Triples) if applicable to the route.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable professional driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of interstate commerce laws and cargo securement procedures.
- Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screening.
