Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailers and straight trucks safely and efficiently on local and regional routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling techniques.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Department of Transportation regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (Class A preferred).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT drug screen clearance.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and DOT physical exam.
- Basic mechanical skills for minor trailer repairs and adjustments.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
