Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles on assigned routes within the DC metropolitan area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
- Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of local and interstate traffic regulations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle physical tasks.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
