Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks to transport freight across the region.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring cargo protection during transit.
- Maintain accurate and timely delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve issues and ensure satisfaction.
- Keep the truck clean and well-maintained at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of California.
- A current, clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and safety standards.
- Basic math skills for cargo documentation and weigh-in-motion stations.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
