Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) on local and regional routes within the San Francisco metropolitan area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo safely using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs and digital records (EOBR) in strict adherence to FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B (depending on position requirements) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current DOT Medical Card and DOT Drug Screen on file.
- Strong knowledge of local San Francisco traffic patterns and roadways.
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment screening.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle troubleshooting.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late nights as needed.
