Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in compliance with all local, state, and federal DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date driver logs (DVIR) and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and traffic laws to minimize accidents and damage.
- Provide excellent customer service during loading and unloading processes.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and logistics teams regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current DOT Medical Card and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check must be clear.
- Ability to lift and move cargo weighing up to 50 pounds independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation systems.
