Job Overview
As a CDL Driver at Apex Transport, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods across the region. You will serve as a representative of our company, ensuring customer satisfaction through professional conduct and safe driving practices.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and security of cargo.
- Load and unload freight securely, adhering to weight limits and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR) and maintain the vehicle's cleanliness.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
