Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) following all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads per safety standards.
- Complete daily vehicle inspections (DVIR) and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and Hours of Service (HOS) compliance.
- Provide exceptional customer service while delivering freight on time and in perfect condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes or delays.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Current DOT Medical Card (Medical Examiner’s Certificate).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety, and cargo securement.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging and paperwork.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor during loading/unloading.
