Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs (DOT compliance).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, and issues.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in ongoing safety training programs.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (or be willing to obtain one through our paid training program).
- Clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of basic vehicle mechanics and safety procedures.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required by business needs.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting purposes.
