Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans to transport goods safely and efficiently across the region.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of delivery logs, mileage, and fuel consumption (ELD compliance).
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all freight is handled with care and secured properly.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) required.
- Must possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and acceptable driving history.
- Current DOT Medical Card (or willing to obtain one).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and paperwork.
