Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) on local and over-the-road routes in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using proper lifting equipment and techniques.
- Maintain accurate records in the Electronic Logging Device (ELD) and daily logbooks.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, safety protocols, and traffic laws.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and safety standards.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
