Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMV) in compliance with all local, state, and federal traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and mechanical condition of the vehicle.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement according to safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch, customers, and safety personnel regarding route changes, delays, or cargo issues.
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required (Hazmat/Tanker endorsements a plus).
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no DUI or major violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Ability to lift and handle freight weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
