Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles in strict compliance with FMCSA and state regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment, ensuring weight distribution and load security.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required delivery documentation.
- Navigate efficiently through traffic to meet tight delivery schedules without compromising safety.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes or delays.
- Adhere to all company policies, including drug-free workplace and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of DOT hours of service (HOS) regulations.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting purposes.
