Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and heavy equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
- Load and unload cargo while ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight.
- Complete all required DOT paperwork, logbooks, and delivery reports accurately.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness to undergo a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, traffic laws, and map reading.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
