Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers in a safe and professional manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or hand jacks as required.
- Maintain accurate logs and delivery documentation (Electronic Logging Device).
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Ensure the security of cargo and the vehicle during transport.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience (OTR or Local).
- Current DOT Medical Card and DOT Drug Screen on file.
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
- Strong time management and customer service skills.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
