Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers on various road conditions, including interstate and local routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper safety techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery status and route changes.
- Keep the truck clean, organized, and in good mechanical condition.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) valid for at least 2 years.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including lifting up to 50 lbs and extended periods of standing/walking.
- Strong understanding of road safety and defensive driving techniques.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
