Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles safely and efficiently in accordance with FMCSA and company regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper documentation and handling.
- Maintain accurate records of duty status (ELD), bills of lading, and delivery receipts.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license required (Class B considered for local positions).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) and DOT drug screen on file.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
