Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate commercial trucks and vans in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Route Management: Deliver goods to designated locations in Baltimore and surrounding areas, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Cargo Handling: Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety protocols are followed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery records in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and vendors, resolving any delivery issues or concerns efficiently.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required (Clean driving record preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial environment.
- Documentation: Must possess a current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT compliant paperwork.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and navigation tools.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, twist, and stand for extended periods.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
