Job Overview
As a CDL Driver for Southwest Logistics, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently throughout the Albuquerque metropolitan area and beyond. We pride ourselves on our safety record and commitment to our drivers' well-being.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently on local and regional routes.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting as required.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and strictly adhere to all FMCSA and DOT regulations.
- Ensure timely delivery of freight and professional interaction with customers.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) issued by the State of New Mexico.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no DUIs or serious moving violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road signs, and safety procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work in varying weather conditions.
