Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A & B) to transport goods throughout the Washington DC metropolitan area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, handling freight with care to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and mileage logs in strict adherence to FMCSA regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during pickups and deliveries.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with the appropriate endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat preferred).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT medical card (Medical Examiner's Certificate).
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 points on the driving abstract.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
