Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and reefer units, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and secure cargo accurately, ensuring weight distribution and load integrity are maintained throughout the journey.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records, including hours of service and delivery logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times, route changes, and any potential issues.
- Uphold a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, representing Prime Logistics Solutions with excellence.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B with the appropriate endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, or Doubles/Triples preferred).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial environment.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Strong understanding of Georgia and regional DOT regulations and traffic laws.
- Ability to lift and handle cargo of varying weights, up to 50 lbs, occasionally.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
