Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is road-ready and compliant.
- Utilize electronic logging devices (ELD) to maintain accurate records of duty status and Hours of Service.
- Deliver freight to customers in a timely manner while maintaining professional interactions and handling cargo with care.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes, traffic conditions, and delivery updates.
- Maintain a clean driving record and ensure the interior and exterior of the vehicle are kept in excellent condition.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the proper endorsements.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screening.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic English proficiency for communication with dispatch and customers.
