Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers to transport goods safely and efficiently to destinations in Long Beach and Florida.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies to ensure zero accidents.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol screening.
- Strong knowledge of local Long Beach streets and familiarity with interstate routes to Florida.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and sitting for extended periods.
